Every year in Cincinnati it warms up in late March and early April and we have a few beautiful days of summer-like weather. And every year, everyone thinks that it's the beginning of summer. I heard a guy on the radio this morning say "welcome to summer!" because of the glorious weather we're having today.
Listen up, people: Cincinnati summer begins on Memorial Day. Not because all of the pools open. Not because it's the patriotic thing to do. Not because we can officially wear white shoes.
It's because that's when it gets warm and stays warm.
It's Spring, people. Still time for jackets and long pants. Sure, today we're in shorts and tank tops, but by Friday, we'll be back in jeans and sweatshirts and turning on the heat.
This has been a public service announcement. You're welcome.
