Prairie points and strings

Doll quilt attempt #2.  I tried two new techniques - string and prairie points.  I love the look of prairie points - so whimsical and fun and can be such an interesting architectural and textural feature. I need to master these, of course, as you can plainly see that my corners are a bit askew and my points aren't the pointiest.
I'm glad I tried these.  Will try them again! I got the idea for the white strip in the middle from Film in the Fridge's Ashley.  She had a great idea for breaking up the "stripes" of the blocks with a hit of white and I think it really works.

The back is a fat quarter from Jennifer Paganelli that I really like - it looks kinda French Provencal-meets-circus to me.

This thing isn't completely finished - I still have to stitch the "binding" (note the pins around the perimeter).  I just couldn't wait to show it off.
