Bee Blocks for Carla

Carla , also known as Lolly, has the month of December in our OBO bee. She sent us two squares of a beautiful bird print that she fussy cut. She asked us to make log cabins out of bright, juicy colors from fabrics in our stash. {Carla and I have very similar taste in fabric. Not big fans of novelty prints or batiks.} She asked us to use white in the "framing" of our blocks and to use 90-degree seams. No wonkiness.

This will be a beautiful quilt. I love the bird print and the fabrics that everyone have picked are really beautiful. Go take a peek.

And I have no doubt that Carla's stellar quilting skills will pull this quilt together in the most elegant and impressive way. She is truly one of the most talented quilters I know {well, we've never met in person...}. And she's a great role model and a true sweetheart. Love you, Carla!

Fun block for a fun lady!
