Design Wall Monday

This is a small section of a current project I'm working on. It's so Swedish-licious in simplicity and totally modern and fresh. I don't normally toot my own horn, but this baby may indeed be worthy of some shameless self-horn tooting. Flying geese, I've decided, is one of my favorites.

The geese are all done in super-juicy geometrics, which all came from my scrap bin. LOVE a scrappy quilt!

  1. hmmm... that looks familiar. And if I am right, it is wonderful in it's simplicity! :)

  2. I love scrappy quilts too. I made one like this about ten years ago... foundation paper-pieced, right? I used muslin for the background, so mine has a totally different look than yours. Love yours!

  3. Hi Andie, How did you do those flying geese? Did you actually paper piece? I love the colorful mix of fabrics!

  4. No paper piecing. I used the Gwen Marston technique from her Liberated Quilting book, only they're not liberated. They're very easy but they do require a little trimming. Maybe I'll post a tutorial next week on how to make them.
