Sonoma Swing Bag - Done

Two inside pockets that are the perfect size for a phone, small camera and the all-important pack of gum.

I love this little pocket! Great detail and very practical.

So stinkin' cute! Very clear and detailed pattern by Pink Sand Studio. Not for beginners, but perfect for those who are confident with installing zippers and doing finishing work like edge stitching.  I'm totally making this bag in like 20 different color combos! It's perfect for scraps as well as a jelly roll. I made the strap a little longer as I'm more of a cross-body-bag-kinda-girl rather than a shoulder-bag-kinda-girl. And I travel light, so this bag is the perfect size for me.

The fabrics here are by Free Spirit's Jenean Morrison. It's called Powerpop and it's so preppy-licious and sweet.

I'll be teaching this class at Lavender Street in March!

  1. Ooh, I just thought of something! I've started top stitching right by the zippers, so I can keep the fabric from getting caught in the zipper. Working well for pillows & pouches thus far - haven't made a bag in a while, but will do it there too!
