Five pretty ladies, all in a row. I had a lot of fun whipping these things up this weekend. I still have to put binding on, but I really like how they turned out. Might make one more....
I really love the Japanese X block - it's a fun block to put together. It requires a lot of precision cutting and piecing and you can tell in the one farthest to the right in the top picture that the seams for the X in the middle weren't matched well. I love the scrappiness and the freedom this block allows when choosing colors and prints. Pretty much anything goes and the more mismatched you make the fabrics, the cuter this block looks.
I'm working on a tutorial on making the 60-degree triangle mug rug today - will post that in the next few days. Loving that tool fo sho.
Also, the folks at Generation Q Magazine have announced that they're going to print! Very exciting stuff. Go check out their Kick Start initiative. Pledge some start up money for the company and get some swag in return. It's a win-win situation.
