Desgn Wall Monday

I've finally settled on a pattern for the baby quilt I'm working on...

The colors look a little muted because of the lighting, but this is a bright, fun palette of lime green, navy, sky blue and pumpkin orange.  I was inspired by a quit I saw on this blog. Very simple, very clean. No fussiness for this boy quilt.

Squaring the blocks today and sewing them together tomorrow. Will post pics when I'm done.

 

I found these bargains at Target the other day. I love looking for pillowcases and sheets that are on clearance - great opportunity to use them for quilt backs and up cycle them into useful items, like a drawstring bag. I need a fabric drawstring bag to send a quilt to a show and I'm too busy/lazy/ to sew one from scratch, so I'm using one of these pillowcases for the job. More on that when I actually get to it...
