Stitch+Craft+Create Magazine & Bow Tie Kit Giveaway

I'm giving away a copy of the Spring issue of Stitch+Craft+Create Magazine and a kit to make my bow tie and pocket square pattern that's in the magazine!
Great for Prom season - how stinkin' cute would it be to coordinate the dress and the bow tie?
Stupid cute.

This magazine is beautifully designed and the projects are fun and very doable.

Make this bowtie for your little man or your grown up man.

Bow tie kit includes:
Fabric in your choice of color and style to make a tie and a pocket square
Hardware for the closure and adjuster

And you get the magazine! There are terrific projects from party plans to decorations to a wedding dress made from lace.
And there are a few articles about modern quilters like Jacquie Gering and Katie Pederson.
And Kelly and Andie.
Hee hee.

Leave a comment telling me what color your prom dress was. (if you went!)
Winner will be chosen on Friday, April 12.

  1. Oh boy - my prom dress!! I was a bridesmaid and just wore that dress becasue my mom made it and it didn;t cost anything - it was black knee length but had a heavily floral pattern to it and huge puffy sleeves!!!!

  9. Didn't go prom; if I had I'm sure it would have been some hideous pastel Gunne Sax concoction.

  10. My handmade prom dress was a hideous yellow graphic print .... nice for the 70's but still hideous in retrospect!
My 4 year old grandson LOVES bowties and would so like to make him a few from the pattern!

  11. Alright, I usually don't enter giveaways but the hubby wears bow ties and I think your instructions would be better than the pattern I have.

I never went to prom...I wanted to go to work and make money that night, so I did :)

  12. oh, I had a white dress, but that's ancient history . . in the now, my little grandguy would love a bow tie and pocket square to go with his courdory jacket.

  17. i did not go to the Senior Prom, but the Junior High School Prom had me wearing a Pink Satin just below the knee in length. It was low cut in the back with draped fabric at my waist. The entire dress gently hugged my figure. It was truly a lovely dress, but i felt rather awkward in it. I was not ready for the essence of sexuality which it embraced. i would have been much happier in bobbie sox and blue jeans!

  24. I didn't go to prom ;) I worked instead and everyone else went. I did NOT mind at all. I'm not that kind of girl and 15 years later, I don't regret a thing!

  25. Did'nt go either, would have liked to but oh well. I did have a cream and mauve Gunny Sac long dress that I loved for special. Oh boy the 70's... wish I still had it just for the vitageness... wonder what happened to it? Long gone I guess.

  27. Loved my prom! I wanted to be different so I wore a pink, glittery Indian Sari instead of a dress. I don't regret it!

  28. However, if you run a small menswear business, own a boutique that specializes in dress for special events such as weddings and proms, or have a kiosk in a shopping mall that sells bow ties and similar apparel, then while wholesale prices would certainly be to your benefit, a normal wholesale deal might not suit you. wooden bow ties
